Says Fiona of her works “I’m a very visual person who also loves poetry and I like to think of my work as visual poetry - where shadows, textures and colours meet”

With a background in design and a love of photography and graphic detailing, Fiona Ferguson explores back lanes and urban streetscapes of the inner city of Sydney where she lives, photographing details that other people might miss. She has a passion for vibrant colours and combines her photographs using digital photographic collage techniques, creating unique and often abstract artworks. 

 “I’m a bit obsessed with shadows cast by foliage and fences in my neighbourhood. I combine the shadows and textures, layering and blending them to create my works.”
